NEW ZEALAND’S 4 SEASONS
Throughout the country, New Zealand has 4 distinct seasons, making it a great destination for both Summer and Winter outdoor pursuits.
As you’d expect, most people choose to camp, tramp and bike during Summer – daylight hours are longer, the weather is warm and at its driest in most parts of the country.
Many people, including Kiwis, also enjoy camping, hiking and biking in Autumn and Spring. The nights can get chilly though, so you’ll need to be able to handle cooler temperatures and be well-equipped for changeable weather.
NZ Camp Site has a range of packages available designed specifically for New Zealand conditions – we have selected camping and tramping equipment to suit Summer, Autumn and Spring weather so you don’t have to worry about being caught out by unexpected conditions.

Be aware…
During Winter only serious Outdoor Adventurers head outdoors, mostly during mountain climbing excursions – in Winter, our weather conditions can be treacherous so it always pays to go with experienced guides if you plan any Winter outdoor pursuits.
